Prayer Request

Friends and Family:

I am coming to you today and asking that you please pray for the McKenzie Family (you can find the link at the right side of this page - "caringbridge.org - berkley"). Sweet Berkley is still battling debilitating migraines and nausea. This has been going on for over twelve weeks and his medical team can not pinpoint why this is happening. His Dad, Doug, just returned to Iraq after an emergency 2-week visit and will be home for good in a few weeks. He has been serving in Iraq for almost one year.

They are trying various medicines, consulting a myriad of physicans and, most importantly , praying that they can find a way to stop these headaches and nausea. Berkley has not been well enough to attend a fullday of school in over 12 weeks, though he gets up every morning ready to try to attend. He loves school and misses his friends.

Brandi, his Mom, is tired. She is having to run a household, take care of three kids and deal with multiple doctor's appointments. In addition to the day-to-day difficulties, she is watching her son experience these horrific headaches multiple times a day. She is exhausted both mentally and physically.

Doug, his Dad, is so far away right now. He is anxious to get home to help care for his entire family. It breaks his heart that Brandi is having to care for all the children while dealing with an extremely ill child. He wants to be home with his family!

Garrett and Laurel Ann, his brother and sister, are watching their big brother experience this illness and are dealing with a Mama who is handling it without Daddy's help.

Could you please join me in lifting this family up in prayer? They continue to look to our Heavenly Father for the answers and know that He is providing for them each day. Living with the unknown of this illness is almost more than they can bear.
Thank you so very much,
Heather
